Welcome to My PM Blog

Unfortunately, some time ago, my web site had all sorts of problems and I had to pull it down. I didn't lose any data, but I did need to rebuild it. This was the first entry I made in August 2008.

I think it is fitting that I launch this blog on 8/8/08 (8 August 2008). It is the opening ceremony for the Beijing Olympic Games and "8" is supposed to be a significant number for the Chinese .... it indicates "infinite prosperity" or something similar. It can never hurt to try to let some of that rub off.

So it gives me great pleasure to start this blog with a few words on its purpose.

I have a few concepts I would like to explore into the future - most of which address what I believe to be shortcomings in project management. I am comfortable enough in the maturity of my concepts, particularly what I call the Project Knowledge Model (PKM), to put them into the public domain and to open them to scrutiny and criticism by others. Accordingly, I would more than welcome constructive, robust and non-personal discussion.

So ....welcome and please feel free to comment and contribute.

By the way - the fireworks and entertainment were incredible!!
